- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆They will lie to you. They lied to us about our refund and now we are the ones that have to pay for it. They knew that we were in a bind. They called me and told me that our refund was sent, so we asked them if we could write a check with them knowing that the check would not clear and they said that we could. They offered to pay the over draft fee if it did not clear since the funds have been sent and they agreed to that. The next day they called back and asked if the funds were in the bank and I told them that they were not so they asked if we could come to the store to call there bank. We asked them why does our refund go to their bank then to ours if we paid the fees up front and they could not answer that, they claimed that they forgot that we paid our fees up front. (we understand that they file a lot of tax's each day and it has been about 2 weeks since we filed and they most likely did forget. But even then, they could not answer the question) When we got there they looked it up and low and behold, it was still being processed. We then asked about the check that we wrote for gas and they said that it was on us. (yes, we understand that we were in the wrong but last I checked your supposed to be able to trust someone with your SS number that does tax's) We then asked why does our refund have to go through their bank then to ours since we paid the fees up front and the best they could do was beat around the bush and never gave us a straight answer. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME WE EVER USED THEM AND WE WILL NEVER USE H&R BLOCK AGAIN!!!! The only thing that they have done was lied to us and stabbed us in the back.
